Mihir Khan was born on 21st September 1939 at our heritage city Santipur. His father Shashi Khan was a famous personality of the city and mother was Smt. Sumati Devi. He passed matriculation from Santipur Municipal High School and B.A. in English from Santipur College. He got M.A. and B.T. degree from Culcutta University.
He started his job on February 1959 as an assistant teacher at Santipur Oriental Academy. He was chairman of Santipur Municipality from 1970 to 1973. He founded Student Welfare Charitable Trust for poor but meritorious science students of Santipur from where most of the students are well established. He has written on many Bengali News paper like Jugantar, Janasehbak, etc. He has written also in English newspaper like Statesman. He wrote many article in different souvenirs, Gnyan Bignyan patrika on famous personalities and science culture. He has written on few books Barenya Deshapremik Pandit Lakshmi Kant Moitra, Shantipur Parichay.
